cj's first national park...

This weekend CJ got to visit his first, of what will be many, national parks. The Saguaro National Park is only about 45 minutes from our house, and we took advantage of it this weekend. We had a great time looking at the cactus forest and goofing off together.

The cacti were amazing. When you look at it in this picture, you think...that's not all that impressive. It is just a cactus...

Then, when you look at it in comparison to my handsome men, you realize how truly huge they are.

The creative nature of God always hits me when I am in the desert. Even though it is barren and not that pretty in comparison to other eco-systems, the vast array of desert life is amazing. We saw snake holes (luckily it was cold and they stayed inside them), lizards and too many varieties of cacti to remember. The care that the Creator took is striking.

We had great time together, and I am always thankful for the time we get to spend together.
