first haircut...

Today we took a trip I don't know if CJ will ever forget. If you look at the last post, you will realize that the poor guy spent a lot of the day with his hair in his eyes and was getting a pretty impressive mullet.

Scott got home early Thursday morning (more on that later), and today we headed to Ranger Joe's for haircuts.

Here are my two handsome fellas waiting patiently for their turn. CJ still looks excited...little does he know what is coming.

Scott had the great idea that he would get his hair cut first. That way, CJ could watch him, and then maybe it wouldn't be so scary for him when it was his turn. CJ sat in my lap and patiently watched Scott get his hair cut, and then it was his turn. He was already a little unsure when the cape came at him...

but when the clippers came out, he voiced his displeasure.

But check out this handsome fella when all was said and done! Doesn't he look big?

We took the after pictures in our backyard. While we were out there, Scott took time to play fetch and tug with Connor.

CJ thought this looked like fun, and because he LOVES Connor, he wanted to play with her too. Unfortunately, Connor is getting older and she was already tuckered out. But he was still determined to get her to play. He found the toy...

and at first he just tried to give it to her. He would try to get her to bite it, drop it at her feet and try it all over again.

When that didn't work, he decided to run away with it. Daddy threw it really far and then she wanted it, so I think that is what he decided to try.

When he got to the other end of the yard, he yelled at her, but she wasn't going anywhere. Silly dog!

You will also notice in almost all the pictures a certain bear, and a little puppy. These two friends now go almost everywhere with us. I think it is hilarious. And he is good about not taking them to the chidcare room at the gym or church, so I'm not sweating it too much right now. And after such a traumatic afternoon, who could blame a little guy for needing his bear and puppy?
